Human-Robot interaction in the Industry 4.0 environment
The development of new forms of Human-Robot lnteraction in the context of lndustry 4.0 poses specific challenges in terms of legai compliance.
The HuManS (Human centered Manufacturing Systems) project investigates this theme with a focus on different devices (exoskeletons, auto-adaptive workstations, smart suits, voice recogniton tools, vocal command devices).
Against this scenario, the seminar focuses on the constraints to the development of these devices due to the compliance with the new EU Generai Data Protection Regulation, which comes into force on May 2018 with a significant impact on company organization (e.g. adoption of risk assessment procedures, privacy by design approach).
The authors of the HuManS deliverable on HRI and legal issues discuss how to address these constraints with in-house counsels from CO MAU S. p.A .'s Legal and Corporate Affairs department.
