PhD course Entrepreneurship and start-up creation from University Research: Students' presentation of patent landscape

The PhD students of the PhD course of Entrepreneurship and start-up creation from University Research will present their final team-work on real case-studies based on 8 patents of Politecnico di Torino. The objective of the course is to help PhD candidates to developed competencies needed to develop research based innovation, aimed at increasing both the quality of research processes and to favor the Technology Transfer activities and their connectedness with the local ecosystem.

The PhD students worked 3 months in 8 multidisciplinary teams alongside with the inventors of these patents and the staff of the technology transfer office to analyze and improve the impact of these patents. The PhD students will also present obstacles and opportunities regarding these patents. Each team will have 10 minutes to present and 10 minutes for Q&A from a board of panelists.

The PhD course is organized by Prof. Emilio Paolucci, Prof. Giuseppe Scellato and Prof. Elisa Ughetto with the help of the PhD candidate Giuliano Sansone. The PhD course is organized in collaboration with the Area Trasferimento Tecnologico e Relazioni con l'Industria (TRIN) and the Politecnico Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.

Participation is open to all PoliTO students, PhD students, researchers, professors and other actors of our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
