OFFICINA* Call for abstract - Theme 2019: Authenticity
The participation in the OFFICINA* editorial project is open to teachers, researchers, postdocs, PhD students, students and professionals, both Italians and foreigners. The theme chosen by OFFICINA* for the first two issues of 2019 is the idea of AUTHENTICITY, meant as a "truthful correspondence" capable to exclude any possibility of denial.
The aim of these issues of OFFICINA* is to understand how the concept of authentic changed, by analysing the new limits that exist between what is called "original" and what is instead intended as its "imitation".
The relationship between ORIGINAL and IMITATION will be the fil rouge of the study about authenticity that can touch different areas including (but not exclusively):
The architectural project and the building materials;
Restoration and conservation of architectural assets;
Protection of tangible or intangible cultural heritage;
The city and its copies, the "themed neighborhoods”, the “theme parks”;
Design and new forms of production;
Copying and reproduction in artistic and scientific production;
The representation of reality, virtual or augmented reality;
Communication and learning in a real / virtual environment
