Marco Guerra: Simplicial Spectral Theory
Simplicial complexes are often understood as a higher-dimensional generalization of graphs. The rich topological theory of which they form the foundation has recently tempted researchers to revisit many apparently disconnected concepts as instances of simplicial complexes. In this talk, we shall give an overview of some research avenues in this direction, mixing results and work currently in progress. We shall discuss topics such as spectral clustering, harmonic clustering, Laplacian eigenmaps and simplicial neural networks.
