PoliTo goes to MAO

MAO Museo di Arte Orientale - Via San Domenico 11 - Torino

Guided tours by the exhibition’s curators for the Politecnico students and employees.

The exhibition, curated by the Politecnico di Torino and Prospekt Photographers, in collaboration with the Tsinghua University in Beijing and Intesa Sanpaolo, is held at MAO Museo d’Arte Orientale di Torino. The exhibition, which is the product of a long-standing research program, coordinated by the Politecnico di Torino, suggests to the public a new and broad perspective that traces a continuous path from the past to the present and the future, putting into relation the culture of traditional China with the impressive transformations of contemporary Chinese cities.

An opportunity to examine in depth the multiple challenges brought by urban changes not only in China, but all over the world. Starting from the study of some specific Chinese new towns, and the contradictions activated by processes of urbanization, the exhibition aims to stimulate a reflection on the city of today and tomorrow. www.chinagoesurban.com
